A NEW recruitment agency focused on the creative sector has been launched in Yorkshire.

TYPE is led by director Kelly Davison who has set up the new business with Jamie Talbot, co-owner of construction recruitment firm Caval.

Ms Davison, formerly at Purple Consultancy, said: “We are not looking to re-invent the recruitment wheel. To us, it’s about offering an honest, personalised service with no hidden agenda,”

TYPE’s first office is at the Round Foundry in Holbeck, Leeds and it is hoping to have four full-time staff by the end of the year.

AWARD winning television producer Jon Doyle has joined Logistik Group.

Mr Doyle has a string of credits in factual television with production companies including Talkback Thames and RDF Telivision and has had roles in programmes including The One Show and Piers Morgan on Dubai.

Mr Doyle said: “Logistik are a truly integrated communications agency with extensive in-house facilities, and an impressive client base to match. It is an exciting time to join the motion team as the agency continues to expand’.

Marc Allott, creative services director at Logistik, said: “Jon’s documentary experience further strengthens our video offer.

“The creativity and knowledge he brings is priceless and we look forward to him developing the department further throughout 2012.”

BLOOM has seen income grow by more than one third to £1.8m in the last year.

The record performance has been announced at the end of the year which has seen the agency increase staff numbers to 32, launch a new joint venture with AWS and a social media agency in London.

BRASS has secured a contract from bus operator First Bus to deliver a new marketing campaign acros the North.

The campaign will focus on the company’s investment in new vehicles and its high frequency services.

Paul McGann, managing partner at Brass, said: “This is a significant win for the agency and we are looking forward to working with First Bus and the opportunity to demonstrate our full service capabilities and ultimately prove the effectiveness of this integrated approach.”
