Redhall secures new CEO

ENGINEERING support services firm Redhall has ended its long hunt for a new chief executive with the appointment of a former group commercial director at AMEC.

Richard Shuttleworth has previously been managing director of the UK businesses of Cape plc and Harsco Infrastructure.

Previous chief executive Simon Foster stood down in March last year and chairman David Jackson filled the role during what has been a difficult time for the company.

Mr Jackson said: “I am delighted that Richard has accepted the challenge of taking the Group into the nuclear new build phase.

“He has the experience and skills to lead Redhall through the next stage of its development.”

Last year, Redhall became involved in a dispute with Vivergo Fuels over its work at a new biofuels plant in Saltend.

In April it issued a profits warning because of problems related to a £20m contract to provide doors for the Atomic Weapons Establishment.

Mr Jackson will continue as executive chairman until the start of October.
