BRAND design consultancy Elmwood has completed its move to the Round Foundry in Leeds.

Elmwood has moved its 60-strong Leeds team from Guiseley to a new 9,473 sq ft headquarters at Holbeck Urban Village.

Chairman Jonathan Sands said: “This is our fifth consecutive year of organic growth in which we’ve doubled our revenue and grown overseas by 500% and it was the ideal time to put down new roots to accommodate our ever-expanding team.

“A move to the city centre is more convenient for clients and will help us to attract the best emerging talent in the industry to come and work for us.”

Elmwood, which recently added an office in Hong Kong to its network of London, Melbourne, New York and Singapore, has now signed a 10 year lease for its Leeds office in a deal agreed by commercial agents Carter Towler on behalf of Igloo, and Gerald Eve acting for Elmwood.

YORKSHIRE Tile Company has agreed to take 10,271 sq ft on a nine year lease at Olympia Trade Park in Leeds in a deal completed by Towngate.

The company joins existing tenants Screwfix Direct and National Lighting and the deal sees the Olympia Trade Park now fully let.

Philip Caspell, property surveyor for Towngate, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming our new tenants, The Yorkshire Tile Company Limited, onto the Olympia Trading Estate and I have no doubt that their decision to relocate to such a highly visible and sought after spot will help strengthen their already excellent name within the Industry and create maximum business opportunities.”

DERWENT FM has been appointed by Denton Holme Student Village to manage a new £20m development providing accommodation for students at the University of Cumbria.

The Harrogate-based company will provide accommodation management and administration services as well as soft and hard maintenance on a rolling basis at the new development, which comprises of town houses on the site of a former Kangol factory in Carlisle.

The scheme is designed by Leeds-based GWP Architecture.

PROCEEDS of almost £8m were generated at a recent property auction.

Eddisons reported that 105 (76%) of the 139 lots which were offered at their final two day sale of the year in Leeds and Manchester, sold.

Robert Limbert of Eddisons said: “This was an excellent sale to complete what has been a very successful auction year.”

CARTER Towler has been appointed to market a prominent office building on Wellington Street, Leeds, on the instructions of Legal & General.

Wellington Plaza has been recently refurbished and the available space ranges from 1,864 sq ft to the whole building of 20,884 sq ft.
