Westcourt completes Park Row restoration

PROPERTY investment company Westcourt Group has completed an extensive six month restoration project of a Grade two listed building on Park Row in Leeds.

18 Park Row, formally Abtech House, has been renamed Kenneth Hodgson House in memory of Kenneth Hodgson, the late father of Westcourt’s director Tim Hodgson.

Kenneth was the founder of the Westcourt Group, which was established in 1992.

Harvey Burns acted for Westcourt Group in acquiring the property from selling agents Eddisons.

The LHL Group project managed the works for Westcourt Group working with LCC restorations to restore the external sections of the property – including a full scale restoration of the 100 year old brickwork and architectural frieze.

The internal work was carried out by Hull refurbishment specialist Chameleon Business Interiors.

Tim Hodgson, director of Westcourt. “By nature, property development is more often than not a numbers driven game, but this particular building required a little more heart than head. Retaining the historic character was of great importance to me.

“Luckily the fantastic team we had involved during the restoration of Kenneth Hodgson House means we’ve been able to marry the two perfectly, offering four boutique style office spaces that total just over 2,900 sq ft and returning this historic building to its magnificent, dominating structure once more.”

The four boutique style offices are being offered to let as either individual floors or as a lot.
