First phase snapped up at Bootham Green development

THE first phase of homes to be released for sale at Bootham Green in York have all sold after the developers brought forward the release date in response to more than 400 potential buyers registering their interest in the development.
Bootham Green is the first new development within walking distance of York City Centre to be built for more than four years.
Yorkshire developers Rushbond Group and Advent Developments started work in January transforming the Grade II listed Shipton Street School buildings into 24 townhouses and building 14 new homes within the school’s grounds.
Work is due to complete towards the end of the year and the development is being marketed by York based estate agents Hudson Moody.
The first phase of 10 homes included a mix of new build and converted, one, two and three bedroom homes. The next phase is due to be released later this summer.
Speaking on behalf of the developers, Chris Hildreth said: “For this first phase to be completely sold out so quickly is fantastic and we’re delighted that Bootham Green has been so well received by the people of York.”
