Changes at the top for Andrew Jackson

LAW firm Andrew Jackson has today announced that Mark Pearson-Kendall has been appointed as managing partner, taking over the reins from Rob Penrose.
Mr Pearson-Kendall’s appointment follows the announcement earlier this year that the historic firm, which will soon celebrate its 140th year in Hull, has relocated its head office to new premises at the Marina Court development, after a £600,000 refurbishment.
Previous managing partner Rob Penrose has retired after 10 years in the role and over 30 years at Andrew Jackson.
Mr Pearson-Kendall said: “This is a very exciting time for our firm. We have an excellent team of lawyers and we are in a strong position to continue to build our business – not only in areas where we have a long-established, national reputation, such as shipping, but in newer sectors such as renewable energy, where we are now regional leaders.
“As a lawyer Rob played a key part in establishing Andrew Jackson as a leader in the UK and international commercial fishing industry and, during his term as managing partner, he has successfully navigated the firm through one of the UK’s deepest recessions and been instrumental in our move to new offices.
“I am delighted to have the opportunity to take the business forward.”
Having joined the firm in 1996 as a trainee, Mr Pearson-Kendall gained promotion to partner by 2004.
