Leeds Festival rocks for Pinnacle

TELECOMS group Pinnacle has secured a contract to supply temporary voice and data networks to the Leeds Festival.

As well as Leeds Festival, Pinnacle has also secured a contract to provide a temporary voice and data network for The Big Chill Festival in Eastnor Castle, Herefordshire, while it will also service this month’s V Festivals in Weston Park, Staffordshire and Hylands Park, Chelmsford,  together with the Reading Festival and Shambala Festival.

Pinnacle has also won a contract to cover the four-day visit to the UK of Pope Benedict XVI.
 
The contract will commence on the Pope’s visit to Scotland on September 16th, where he will be received by Her Majesty The Queen in Edinburgh, before travelling to Glasgow, where he will celebrate an evening open-air Mass at Bellahouston Park, he will then fly from Glasgow to London.

Amongst many other engagements whilst in London, the Pope will celebrate Mass in Westminster Cathedral. On Sunday September 19th , the Pope will travel to Birmingham to celebrate the beatification of Cardinal John Henry Newman, which will be held in Cofton Park, before returning to Rome from Birmingham International Airport.
 
Pinnacle’s circuits will be used for security services and to broadcast sound for the BBC, as well as church radio stations. The Papal visit will take the total number of temporary and remote circuits provided for the BBC in 2010, to around 400.
