Xercise4Less in good shape with latest launch

XERCISE4LESS has opened the doors to its fourteenth operation at a former B&Q retail warehouse.

Property development and investment company The Oakgate Group has let the 31,000 sq ft space in Rotherham to the budget gym chain.

Wetherby-based Oakgate has leased the property in Greasborough Street for 15 years at a rent of £201,500 a year.

This is Xercise4Less’ second South Yorkshire operation and follows in in the footsteps of Xercise4Less Doncaster.

John Grantham, the managing director of Oakgate, said: “This is a very significant letting in a challenging retail and leisure market in South Yorkshire.

“Xercise4Less is one of the most successful, up-and-coming young companies in Yorkshire and I am sure their new gym in Rotherham will prove extremely popular. It is very good news for the town of Rotherham and will provide an important boost to the local economy.”

Chief executive of Xercise4Less Jon Wright said: “With Xercise4Less, we’ve set out to create ‘The People’s Gym’ at each site, realising members use the facilities for lots of different reasons.

“We’re here to ensure people of all ages, and fitness levels, can benefit from great facilities, with cost not being a barrier. We’re excited about our further expansion in South Yorkshire and will continue to extend our services over time to suit the needs of our Yorkshire members.”

Leeds-based WSB Property Consultants acted on behalf of Xercise4less.
