Commercial Property Appointments: Regeneration team strengthened at CBRE

A round-up of the region’s commercial property appointments.

LEEDS property consultancy CB Richard Ellis has strengthened its regeneration team with a new senior surveyor.

Victoria Baker-Sinclair will be responsible for providing strategic development and property advice to a wide range of public and private sector clients.

The regeneration team at CB Richard Ellis provides its customers with the latest trends in the property market and produces commercially robust delivery strategies to ensure that projects are delivered on budget and on time.

Ms Baker-Sinclair began her career as a surveyor with Knight Frank and worked in their Edinburgh, Glasgow, Newcastle and Leeds offices specialising in development appraisal and valuation advice.

She said: “This role at CB Richard Ellis is a great opportunity for me. I’ve acquired a strong working knowledge of the residential, land and development markets and developed a thorough appreciation of the challenges and opportunities which developers and public sector bodies need to overcome. I’m now looking forward to helping clients deliver high quality, sustainable development projects across Yorkshire, the North East and Lincolnshire”

YORKSHIRE-BASED construction company, R&S, has recruited three new apprentices.

Demonstrating its continued commitment to supporting and developing young peoples’ skills, the firm has taken on Nick Middleton, 16 and Edward Phillipson, 16, as apprentice joiners, with Jed Foster, also 16, completing the trio as an apprentice bricklayer.

The apprentices, who are studying at Hull College, will have the opportunity to be placed at all of R&S’ sites throughout the region, in addition to developing and learning new skills in the construction workshops.

They will also be mentored by the workshop managers and the site managers.

James Deacon, managing director of R&S, said: “Despite the current industry climate, at R&S we recognise the need for quality craftsmen to rise through the ranks and build for the future. These life-time talents are an invaluable and important craft, and our trainees receive a full indentured training which enhances the skills of the site and workshop teams.

“We’re extremely proud of our track record and reputation for training and retaining talented staff – a reputation recognised even at a national level having won the UK construction industry’s best company for ‘Leadership & People Development’ last year.”
