Vehicle business gears up for growth

A VEHICLE rental business has bought a new warehouse as it gears up to expand its operation.
AMT Group, which operates the AMT Vehicle Rental and AMT Leasing brand, specialising in providing long and short-term rental vehicles, has acquired the former Rothera and Brereton distribution unit on Armley Road in Leeds.
The property had been on the market since March following the relocation of the Rothera and Brereton business to the PaperLinX facility in Stourton.
AMT plans to transform the premises into its new headquarters and establish state-of-the-art facilities from which to grow the operation. AMT is currently headquartered at Matrix Court, Leeds.
Commercial property agents Carter Towler sold the site.
Josh Holmes from the Carter Towler industrial agency team said: “We are delighted to have completed the sale of this property so quickly to AMT, the premises represented quite a unique proposition and we had a lot of interest. We have had a lot of success on this stretch of Armley Road recently, in the last two years we have sold the properties either side of this site and our Office Agency team are proactive in the area.”
Carter Towler has also completed a letting for multinational facilities management and construction services company Carillion at Fairway Court on Elland Road in Leeds.
The company will occupy 7,700 sq ft on the second floor of the building.
