Appointments: Changes at Shouksmiths; Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets boosts team; and more

THE York division of building services engineers J. H. Shouksmith and Sons has made three key personnel changes.

Peter Cookland has stood down as divisional director to take up the new post of business development manager for the whole company.

A new position of York divisional manager has been created, which will be taken on by David Shouksmith, the son of company chairman Richard Shouksmith and the seventh generation of the family to work for the company.

Keith Bradley, who is currently Sheffield divisional director, will see his position extended to cover the role of divisional director for York also.

Lloyds TSB Corporate Kevin WilsonTHE Lloyds TSB Corporate Markets team in South and East Yorkshire has expanded with the appointment of Kevin Wilson, who joins the seven-strong Hull office as a relationship manager.

He will be responsible for bringing in new business as well as advising existing clients on their finance needs.

Mr Wilson has worked in the Hull business community for 25 years and moves from another post within Lloyds TSB, having previously worked as a commercial manager and a corporate personal banking manager, primarily in the large corporate and real estate sectors.

Nick Bell Ward HadawayLAW firm Ward Hadaway has boosted its corporate finance practice in Leeds with the hire of banking and finance partner Nick Bell.

Mr Bell joins the firm after 12 years at Pinsent Masons in Leeds, where he was a senior associate in the banking team, acting for a wide range of corporate borrowers, banks, building societies and other financial institutions.

He advises on all aspects of banking and finance transactions, including secured and unsecured lending, structured finance, acquisition finance, mezzanine finance, property and development finance, project finance and PFI.

Martin Hulls, partner and head of corporate finance at Ward Hadaway, said: “It is great to welcome Nick on board.

“His experience and ambition will be terrific assets in our drive to further expand the corporate practice in Leeds.”
