Appointments: Callcredit, Davy Markham, Continuum Attractions

A CHIEF financial officer has been appointed at Callcredit Information Group.

Bob Munro will take up his new role with immediate effect, following from Liz Richards who is leaving after 15 years to develop a non-executive portfolio career outside the business.

Bob joins Callcredit from Reed Elsevier. He recently served as CFO of Elsevier Health Sciences, a global business generating over $1bn in revenues a year. Mr Munro is a chartered accountant and began his career with PricewaterhouseCoopers where he spent 9 years prior to joining Reed Elsevier.

Bob Munro said: “Callcredit has grown rapidly since it was first established over 10 years ago and I am thrilled to be joining the business as it continues to execute its growth strategy against a background of significant opportunities across rapidly evolving consumer credit and data analytics markets.”

Tourist attraction operator Continuum Attractions has appointed a group food and beverage manager, Oli Cullingworth.

Continuum is expanding its food and beverage offering across its seven tourist attractions in the UK, from Coronation Street The Tour in Manchester to the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth.

Mr Cullingworth joins the team with 15 years industry experience, including management of Rudding Park’s award winning Clocktower restaurant and most recently serving as operations director within Red Box Consultancy Services, working for a wide range of blue-chip clients within the business, hospitality, leisure and oil and gas industries.

The attractions operator is currently investing £500,000 to develop its Edinburgh experience The Real Mary King’s Close, which will include the addition of a new 40-seater café and a unique corporate venue space.

Oli Cullingworth, group food and beverage manager at Continuum Attractions commented: “I’m delighted to join the team at Continuum Attractions at such an exciting time for the business. I look forward to developing our attractions’ unique food and beverage experiences, whilst working with the executive management team to deliver new projects.”

Engineering firm Davy Markham has appointed Bill Clark as the firm’s chief executive officer after its acquisition by Hughes Armstrong Industries last October.

Mr Clark previously held the position of engineering director and nuclear sector director with Tata Steel Projects and Managing Director with Tyco subsidiary Earth Tech.

He has served on the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre Programme board and also on the Energy Industries Council Board as a non-executive director.

Hughes Armstrong chief executive Steve Lord said:”During this time of transformation there is no better person to lead Davy Markham than Bill Clark.

“Bill is a chartered engineer and proven leader with business vision and the ability to bring people and project teams together. His vision for strengthening engineering and quality and putting them at the centre of our business will be key if we are to take on larger and more complex projects.”

Mr Clark said: “I am delighted to have been asked to lead the company through this period of transformation.

“Our ambition is to rejuvenate the business and re-position it as one of the UKs pre-eminent large scale engineering led manufacturers.”
