Confectionary firm gets a sweet deal as it expands

US confectionary giant Pecan Candy Deluxe has signed a sweet deal for a 6,000 sq ft office in the village of Sherburn in Elmet.

Pecan Candy has moved into Lincoln House in the village, located between Leeds and York.

AWS have let the building on behalf of Ashbrooke Developments, and sweet manufacturer Pecan Candy Deluxe have taken the entire first floor.

AWS and GVA are jointly marketing the remaining two ground floor suites of 1,800 sq ft and 1,152 sq ft which can be occupied individually or combine to provide a suite of just below 3,000 sq ft.

Pecan Deluxe got in a spot of trouble last year when a worker’s thumb was sliced off at their Leeds site. The company was slapped with a £7,000 fine from the Health and Safety Executive.

The year before, the US-owned firm which was launched in 1999 invested £200,000 in expanding capacity at its North Yorkshire manufacturing site as demand for its products increased.
