CBRE to help Prospect with expansion plans

SERVICED office provider Prospect Business Centres has asked CB Richard Ellis to help it find new buildings as it looks to expand.

Prospect is looking to open five new centres next year to add to its existing operations in Leeds and York.

Managing director Charlie Cudworth said: ““We have been very busy looking for the right buildings across the country to become our next serviced office centres, and we have already found some, but we have chosen to partner with CB Richard Ellis to manage the sourcing and initial vetting process.”

Prospect is hoping the deal with CBRE will help it cut the time taken to source and negotiate on new properties from six to three months.

Jonathan Shires, director of office agency at CB Richard Ellis in Leeds, said: “Prospect has a great platform from which to build their network of centres and, with consistently high occupancy levels, their model is proving successful in their existing markets.

“Typically the client needs to see high quality, well positioned buildings that can provide between 20,000 and 25,000 sq ft of space and there are a number of such available buildings in the present climate.

“Our teams are already looking at new high quality city centre space in cities right across the UK that can be fitted out to a high specification quickly and we expect to see a number of successful acquisitions from the partnership over the coming months.”
