Building Briefs: Knight Frank in at Quattro, Sanderson Weatherall award, and more

KNIGHT Frank is to market Quattro, the fourth and final phase of the West Moor Park development at Junction 4 of the M18 at Doncaster.

Quattro has been completed and is now ready for occupation.

The state-of-the-art property, which is a speculative joint venture between Shepherd Developments and Valad Property Group,

comprises a warehouse or production unit of about 163,000 sq ft, which includes 7,500 sq ft of offices. It is available to buy or to rent, at £50 per sq ft and £4.75 per sq ft respectively.

Richard Squire, project director of Shepherd Developments, said: “We are extremely excited about Quattro, which has already attracted a great deal of interest, especially from companies in the internet retail sector and the environmental industries sector.

One of its advantages is that we can sell freehold, when many other developers aren’t able to.”

SANDERSON Weatherall has been named the most active commercial property agent in the north of England for deals done in the retail and leisure sectors.

The Estates Gazette award was judged on agent activity between October 2007 and November 2008, during which time Sanderson Weatherall completed more retail and leisure deals than any other agency in Yorkshire and north east England.

Peter Heron, director of retail at Sanderson Weatherall’s Leeds Office, said: “It’s always satisfying to receive an industry accolade, but to be named top regional agent for the retail and leisure sector is extremely rewarding as it demonstrates the quality and capability of our team to deliver a service that really does work.”

Amongst some of the key deals completed in Yorkshire during this period were the sales of the freehold of 64-67 Market Place, Thirsk for the Co-operative Group to Heron Frozen Foods, and the acquisition of unit 3, Foss Island Retail Park, York for Kutchenhaus.
