Headhunter rebrands and underlines Yorkshire strength

HEADHUNTING firm Odgers Ray & Berndtson has unveiled a new name as part of a global rebrand and underlined its commitment to Yorkshire.

The firm has rebranded as Odgers Berndtson as part of a reorganisation following a sustained period of growth in Europe and North America and successful investment in the Middle East and Asia.

Odgers Berndtson, which is one of the world’s largest executive search companies, has an office in Leeds headed by Jeff Morris, regional managing partner for Yorkshire and the North East.

Mr Morris said: “This is really a milestone moment. It marks a great deal of hard work and great client service by colleagues around the world.  Equally it’s the start of a new era and we are determined to continue to drive our business forward.

“Our strategy remains to provide local knowledge and service to our clients, backed national and when appropriate international reach and expertise. The withdrawal of other major search firms from the region in my view is plain wrong. Yorkshire based national businesses like Morrisons and Northern Foods value our local presence and knowledge combined with real sector expertise.

“For international businesses like Linpac and Nobia we have drawn on the expertise of our colleagues in Europe. Going forward as result of our investment in the Middle East and China we will now be able to service the needs of the many international businesses headquartered here in Yorkshire, but with subsidiaries and joint ventures in these vital growth markets.”
