Appointments: Specialist litigator joins Winston Solicitors; Recruitment drive at Science Warehouse;

WINSTON Solicitors based in Roundhay has expanded its litigation department by recruiting specialist litigation solicitor Claire Kitchen.

Since qualifying in 2001, Kitchen has handled varied and complex litigation cases, including civil fraud, minority shareholder actions and professional negligence claims.

The firm said that she is especially aware of the commercial requirements of her clients and believes in settling disputes through intelligent negotiation and mediation.

Science Warehouse new recuitsSPEND management software business Science Warehouse has made three appointments at its head office in Leeds.

Peter Smallwood joins the implementation team and will be responsible for developing key accounts with blue chip clients.

Zoe Oldroyd has been hired as a business analyst to work directly with existing customers to drive innovation and cost effective services, as well as creating tailor-made solutions with the development team to match customers’ requirements.

The pair are joined by Robert Toller, who will help the team to manage content and maintain the accuracy of Science Warehouse’s bespoke e-catalogue data systems.

Beachcroft's employment team additionsThe LEEDS employment team at commercial law firm Beachcroft has welcomed three new solicitors.

Theo Evans joins from Bradford & Bingley, where she was the sole senior employment solicitor.

She has 10 years experience as an advocate in the employment tribunal and court, defending high profile discrimination claims. Theo has also advised at board level on a number of senior executive terminations, restructures, outsourcing and collective redundancy.

Zoe Thomas joins the team from Watson Burton where she was an associate.

She advises private and public sector clients on all areas of contentious and non-contentious employment law, with a particular expertise in managing significant TUPE transfers, including cross jurisdictional matters and complex discrimination claims.

Previously at Ford & Warren, Anjali Sharma has expertise in contentious employment work, advising private sector organisations and a number of large multi-site companies on complex employment issues, as well as defending them in the employment tribunal.
