THE chief executive of laser eye surgery provider Ultralase will be the guest speaker at a business lunch in Leeds next month.

Tony Veverka will talk about the growth of Ultralase from its small beginnings and reveal how the company has navigated a challenging consumer environment to improve its market share position on February 18 at the Met Club.

Mr Veverka has worked within the healthcare sector for the past 16 years specialising in sales and marketing, and has been chief executive of Ultralase since April 2006.

The lunch will take place at Mint Hotel, Granary Wharf between noon and 2.30pm.

Makro Drive arrives in YorkWHOLESALER Makro aims to make life easier for York’s hoteliers, caterers and restauranteurs after launching a new service in the city centre.

The Makro Drive collection depot at Hazel Court on James Street opened at the start of December, enabling customers to access the wholesaler’s product offering without having to travel far beyond the city walls.

York is one of the first Makro Drive locations in the UK and was selected by the wholesaler to give the city’s high density of hospitality outlets greater choice and convenience.

Coalters staffYORK lettings and estate agency Coalters is celebrating the success of five members of its team, who have achieved a top industry qualification.

Customer service manager Kevin Coundon, valuation director Justin Johnson, senior sales negotiator Louise Kelly, senior lettings negotiator Becca Newcomb and senior sales negotiator Sarah Stabler have all achieved the Level 3 Technical Award delivered by the National Association of Estate Agents (NAEA).

Eleven members of the team have now achieved the qualification.
