Aegis opens second Leeds office

NEWCASTLE-based data storage specialist Aegis IT has opened a second office in Leeds.

The move signals continued growth for Aegis, which has seen its client list swell in recent months.

Its new Leeds office will be headed by Paul O'Donnell, who boasts experience of working with IT giants such as Compaq, Hewlett Packard and Dell.

He said that new office meant the firm was now in a position to cement its place as the leading provider of data storage, protection and management solutions in the North of England, with reach right across the region, and the rest of the UK.

“Opening a second office in Leeds so soon after we launched in Newcastle is a major achievement for Aegis,” he said.

“Our growth plans have outstripped our expectations and we are continuing to win contracts from clients of all sizes and sectors.”

David McPherson, founder of Aegis, said that one of the reasons Aegis had been able to expand so quickly was because it offered customers a wealth of experience when it came to data management solutions.

“All our customers, no matter what their size, are able to benefit from the skills and knowledge we have gained working for companies that invest heavily in the latest IT solutions,” he said.

Aegis was established in 2003 and provides data storage, data protection and data management solutions to companies of varying sizes and industries including energy, construction, manufacturing and health.

Its team has worked with major clients including Royal Bank of Scotland, HSBC, Northern Rock, Northumbria Water, Tesco, BT and Heinz. Other customers include the Sage Group, IBM, Proctor & Gamble, AccuRead and White, Young, Green.
