Yorkshire Water sets fast payment example

YORKSHIRE Water is speeding up its payment terms in a bid to help out hundreds of small business in the region.

The Bradford-based utility has decided to reduce payment terms from 42 days to 30 in an attmept to ease cash flow pressures for SMEs.

More than 200 companies are set to benefit from the change.

Casrolyn Bywater, payroll manager at Yorkshire Water, said: “It’s important in the current economic climate that we do everything we can to support Yorkshire businesses.

“We want to help make sure companies we work with on a regular basis can weather these hard times and we hope reducing our payment terms will help in some way.”
