Latest appointments: New MD at Powerminster Gleeson, TAB appoints marketing manager and more

FACILITIES service provider, Powerminster Gleeson Services, has appointed a new managing director.

Keith Shivers joins the Sheffield-based company from his position of group operations director at parent company MJ Gleeson Group, where he has worked for more than 20 years.

He is a director on the board of of a number of the group’s subsidiary companies and also represents the group at director level on the boards of the majority of the PFI companies where the group has shareholdings.

Dermot Gleeson, chairman of the Gleeson Group, said: “The board has selected Keith based on his track record of creating profitable growth elsewhere in our business.

“He is an inspirational leader and we are confident in Keith’s ability to further enhance the strategic growth of Powerminster Gleeson Services.”

THE PEER support and coaching organisation, The Alternative Board (TAB), has strengthened its Harrogate-based team with the appointment of a new marketing manager.

Suzanne Bell joins the company from accountants PKF, where she was business development manager for the northern region.

The company, which was officially launched at the Yorkshire International Business Convention, provides practical solutuions to the needs of owners and managers of small and medium-sized enterprises.

Jo Clarkson, TAB’s operations director, said: “I have known Suzanne for about 20 years, since she first joined PKF, and believe she is the ideal person to drive our marketing as TAB expands its national network throughout the UK.”

THE DEPUTY chief executive of Leeds & Yorkshire Housing Association has been made chair of the Chartered Institute of Housing’s Yorkshire and Humber region.

Ceri Lewis has been with Leeds & Yorkshire Housing Association for six years and has previous experience working for local authorities and housing associations in both London and Yorkshire.

Ms Lewis has sat on the committee for the Institute for three years, and in her new role as chairman will focus on organising informative and enjoyable events for members.

She took up the position on the May 19 and will hold it for 12 months.

YORKSHIRE accountancy firm, Henton & Co, has welcomed two new additions to its tax department.

The firm, which has offices in Leeds and Sheffield, has appointed Sonal Tyagi and Sian Avery as tax trainees.

Managing partner Simon Gray said: “Sonal and Sian are a welcome addition and will be an integral part of the team.”
