Deloitte Fast 50 launched

IT firms are being urged to enter this year’s Deloitte Fast 50 to highlight their achievements.

The technology awards, which are now in their 12th year, recognises and rank IT firms with an exceptional growth in turnover over the last five years.

According to Rob Seldon, technology partner at Deloitte’s Leeds office, the awards are an opportunity for technology firms to gain recognition for the successes through the turbulent environment of the previous 12 months.

“The recession is having a marked impact on the way in which Fast 50 companies are being run,” said Mr Seldon.

“However, a challenging environment presents opportunity for successful technology entrepreneurs to make decisive progress in their business performance.

He added: “The majority of our respondents are self-funded and all are growing companies with the ability to differentiate themselves from their competition in an environment of scarce liquidity.”

Companies entering must have been in business for a minimum of five years and considered a technology company.

This is defined as producing technology, manufacturing technology-related products, be technology intensive, or use technology to solve problems and devoting a high percentage of effort to technology research and development.

The parent company must be UK-owned and have its headquarters in the UK or Ireland

Closing date for nominations is August 31. For full details and award entry forms visit www.fast50.co.uk.
