Forward ladies offer redundancy help

PEOPLE affected by redundancy are being offered free advice and expertise from Forward Ladies, the women’s networking and  business support organisation.

A full day of workshops, held on Tuesday, July 7, between 9am and 3:30pm at The Met Hotel in Leeds is open to men and women who have been made redundant, are facing redundancy – or who are currently unemployed.

The workshops, hosted by representatives from the Department of Work & Pensions, Business Link, career development specialists Saxton Partners and consulting firm Right Management will offer advice on benefits, financial support, how to approach self-employment and honing interview skills.

There will also be support in dealing with the personal impact of redundancy.

Forward Ladies founder Etta Cohen said: “Being made redundant can make many people feel lonely and lacking in confidence and recession is affecting men and women alike – regardless of industry or age.

“The workshops will offer access to information in a productive and positive environment. Through being with others in similar situations the sessions will provide the camaraderie that can be missed when out of work.”

Foward Ladies was founded by Etta Cohen in 2000 and is now one of the fastest growing business support organisations in the North. To book a free place either call 0845 6434 940 or go to www.forwardladies.com.
