Latest appointments: Double appointment at Colliers CRE, Director at Dickinson Dees and more

PROPERTY agents, Colliers CRE, has boosted its Leeds-based planning team with two senior appointments.

The company have appointed Graham Connell as director and head of planning, and Rachael Martin as associate director.

Mr Connell joins Colliers from Sanderson Weatherall where he was national director of the planning team, and brings with him more than 30 years experience as a planner.

Ms Martin also joins from Sanderson Weatherall where she was associate director and has 10 years experience in the property industry.

They will join Wendy Sockett and the existing planning team to cover Yorkshire and the North East.

The expanded Leeds planning team will form an integrated part of Colliers CRE’s national planning service.

LAW firm, Dickinson Dees, has promoted a member of its York-based team to the position of director.

Tom Watkins has been with the firm since 2005, initially working at the Tees Valley office before transferring to York in 2007.

Mr Watkins works in the employment department.

THE Yorkshire branch of the Securities and Investment Institute (SII) have appointed a Leeds-based associate as its regional president.

Alan Fleming of Leeds-based investment managers, JM Finn & Co, has been elected to lead the regions SII membership strategy and overseeing its 800 members and social events.

Mr Fleming has more than 25 years of investment management experience.

Prior to his election as president, Mr Fleming served on the SII Committee in various roles and was most recently vice-president.

ACCOUNTANCY firm, Grant Thornton, has strengthened it recovery and reorganisation team with the appointment of a new manager.

James Mortimer will be responsible for providing support to the team in preparing business reviews for banks and other lending institutions and will advise clients on operational performance improvement and working capital management opportunities.

Mr Mortimer brings with him experience in commerical, corporate and project finance and has held roles with British Airways and Northern Foods.

ASSET-BASED lender, Davenham, has appointed a new business development manager to its trade finance division.

Daniel Harding re-joins the company after working for two years at Tahoe Finance.

He will be based in the firms Leeds office and cover the Yorkshire and North East region.

Davenham’s sales director, Clive Naylor, said; “Dan has an in-depth knowledge of Davenham and we are delighted to have him back on board, especially at this time when the asset-based lenders are coming into their own”.
