Marketing clinic promises to cure promotional woes
BUDDING entrepreneurs attending next year's Venturefest Yorkshire will be able to take advantage of free marketing advice thanks to an innovative marketing clinic.
The clinic will be run by experienced marketers from the Mid-Yorkshire branch of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM), and will include one-to-one sessions for delegates at the annual event.
Diane Earles, regional director of CIM, said that the branch was delighted to offer expert marketing support.
"It is crucial for businesses at any stage of their life -cycle to be aware of and to use effective marketing practices to enable them to grow into world class companies," she said.
Andy Earnshaw, chairman of the Mid-Yorkshire CIM branch, said that delegates could expect to hear key pointers into improving their marketing in as little as 15 to 20 minutes.
"Last year we had a really busy clinic and we are looking forward to many unusual and challenging discussions this year," he said.
"Many individuals starting in business are unaware of the range of techniques and strategies used within the realm of marketing.
"Our advice clinic will open people's eyes to marketing approaches that may have been previously unconsidered or unknown to those not working in the field."
Venturefest Yorkshire is the largest event of its kind delivering resources and guidance to start-ups and fast growing middle market companies in the technology and knowledge-based sector.
The event, which will be at on February 6 at York Racecourse next year, also provides a high-profile platform for entrepreneurs and start-ups looking to attract investment.
