PITNEY Bowes, the global technology leader for the postage industry, has appointed Lucre to work on its annual Pushing the Envelope campaign, where celebrities are invited to design an envelope – all of which are one-off original works of art.
Leeds-based Lucre has been tasked with building on the success of previous years, where many celebrated actors, writers, illustrators, artists and entertainers have lent their support, including Kate Winslet, Bruce Forsyth and Damien Hirst. The envelopes will auctioned on eBay in November, to raise money for the National Literacy Trust.
Entering its sixth year in 2009, the campaign is looking to build on the success of previous years and gain support from a broad range of personalities, which in turn allows the public to own an original and unique design from favourite celebrities or artists. This year’s theme is ‘The Words That Mean Most to You’ which will be reflected in the art.
