Firm on route to success with new depot

EXPECT Distribution has relocated after gaining financial backing from Yorkshire Bank.
The £12.5m turnover business, which was founded 21 years ago and employs 142 staff, has acquired and developed the new purpose-built £8m warehouse and distribution centre in Bradford.
Expect Distribution, which was previously known as Pennine Parcels, will still retain its original depot to increase warehousing capacity from 4,000 pallets to 16,000 pallets over the two sites.
Managing director Robert Rushworth said: “Our new warehouse and distribution centre overlooks the M606 and is clearly visible to passing traffic which is an ideal promotion for our business as well as allowing us fast access to the motorway network.
“As well as being designed and built to very high standards to enhance working efficiency and to create a more flexible service to our customers, the new depot has space for projected future expansion as we continue to make progress even in the current tough trading climate.”
The funding was arranged by Yorkshire Bank’s West Yorkshire financial service centre (FSC).
Stephen Stocker, the FSC’s business partner, said that the new facilities would enable Expect Distribution to stay on top of its sector.
“We are very much open to support trading businesses and are pleased to have been able to support Expect Distribution in this important stage in its development,” he added.
