Media Buzz: MezzoFilms revs up clicks for JCT600; Telecoms business zooms in on Dinosaur PR; and more

LEEDS-based media production company MezzoFilms has produced a new TV commercial for Yorkshire car dealership JCT600, which aired for the first time yesterday on ITV Yorkshire.

The 30 second advert, which will run for three weeks, raises awareness of the family owned Bradford brand which has 48 dealerships across Yorkshire, the North East and Lincolnshire.

The advert also aims to drive traffic to its website where customers can view a choice of thousands of new and pre-owned vehicles.

MezzoFilms’ commercial for JCT600 focuses on the ‘just one click’ simplicity of accessing the dealer’s website using various devices such as a smart phone, laptop or PC.

NEWLY-launched telecommunications business Yoozoom4business has appointed PR and social media specialists Dinosaur PR to deliver social media consultancy to boost its online reputation within the industry.

Based in Leeds, Yoozoom4business was founded last year by Al Athraby and Alex Deighton, two entrepreneurs who were formerly agents for BT in the Yorkshire region, and is focused on helping the region’s SMEs grow through cost effective and scalable hosted telephony.

It has turned to Harrogate-based Dinosaur to provide strategic social media consultancy, which will help the business engage with its customers more effectively – activity has already seen a new website, blog and Twitter stream launched to increase its online profile.

LEEDS-based full service creative agency Intermarketing, which specialises in branding, direct response and retail, has hired two new recruits to its client services team.

Sam Wood joins Intermarketing’s expanding team as senior account manager, where she will be working with RSA, Jet2.com, Benenden Healthcare and several charities including EveryChild.

Rebecca Dean has been recruited as an account executive. She will be joining the client services team, supporting clients including La Redoute, Next, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers and RNID.

She previously worked for the Arcadia Group and more recently as business development and marketing assistant for Spire Leeds Hospital.

YORKSHIRE brewery Timothy Taylor has appointed Leeds-based Chocolate PR to head the publicity and event management for the re-launch of the historical Leeds pub Town Hall Tavern.

The new Town Hall Tavern is set to be unveiled during two business lunches on May 18 and 19, and a VIP launch night on May 19.

Business from the nearby Park Square area will be invited to sample a selection of dishes from the new food and drink menus.

Operations manager at Timothy Taylor, Marc Craddock, said: “Town Hall Tavern is in the heart of the business district in Leeds and we’re hoping to bring it inline with the high expectations of what business people need and want, whilst retaining the venue’s heritage and traditional charm.”
