Charter status recognises firm’s community efforts

DOCUMENT solutions firm Arena Group has had its community support recognised by Leeds City Council.

The group has been awarded Community Charter Status recognising the group’s efforts in helping local communities and the environment.

The Community Charter for Suppliers has been set up by the council and its partners Leeds Ahead and The Leeds Community Foundation to help disadvantaged local areas.

The charter gives advice to local businesses and shows them how to make a difference to their local community.

This might be offering financial support to local incentives, helping people into work, staff volunteering, and much more.

Arena regularly gets involved with community work and recently donated 35 high value Toshiba print devices to charities across the city.

It also takes part in employee-volunteering schemes helping charities such as Yorkshire Wildlife Trust and South Leeds High School.

Martin Wright, general manager for Arena’s IT division said: “We are a locally-based firm and have a strong corporate responsibility policy that is based on providing help to local communities.”
