Breaking News: Former B&B HQ ‘up for sale’

BRADFORD & Bingley’s former head office in Bingley is going up for sale, according to reports.
The nationalised mortgage company is understood to be briefing property agents about selling the 1975 building, which is valued at around £4m.
Options for the site could include demolishing the building or turning the building to another use.
Around 400 staff are to transfer to B&B’s Crossflatts offices by the end of the year where all its 950-strong workforce will be based.
The building was designed by Bradford architects John Brunton & Partners and was modelled on the nearby Five Rise locks on the Leeds-Liverpool Canal.
Former B&B staff now working for Santander, the Spanish-owned bank that bought B&B’s savings and high street branch business, will also leave the Main Street offices by the end of the year.
