ONE of the Yorkshire Dales’ best-known pubs, the historic Timble Inn, is set to reopen after Dacres Commercial successfully sold the property for an undisclosed sum on behalf of Blackshaw Holdings.

The pub is located in the village of Timble, at the heart of the Washburn Valley, and called last orders for the final time in 2004 following the death of the owner.

Property group Blackshaw Holdings then acquired the building and began work on a complete refurbishment programme which has also seen six guest rooms added to the first and second floors.

The property has now been bought by local man Paul Radcliffe who plans to reopen it as a pub and hotel during November.

Dan Brumfitt of Dacres Commercial, explains: “The Timble Inn has always been an extremely popular pub and we knew that its enviable reputation combined with Blackshaw’s sympathetic refurbishment work would generate plenty of interest. As soon as it went on the market we were inundated with enquiries and it took less than eight weeks for the deal to complete.”
