New business, new premises for Vert

LEEDS-based Vert, the green display and point of sale specialist, is celebrating clinching national contracts and acquiring a new 2,000 sq ft warehouse in Bramley.

The new premises – located next to the company’s existing studio – replace the company’s unit in Wakefield.

New commissions include a contract from Radio Systems Corporation – the trading name of PetSafe and Staywell, a leading pet safety company.

Vert produced 200 point-of-sale cabinets for both brands, which have a strong focus on environmental sustainability and will be displayed in pet stores nationwide.

The Vert product is made from 60% recycled material and is 90% recyclable. The Staywell Totem stand takes these credentials further with less than 5% of the finished product made from virgin materials.

The commission from Radio Corporation has led to more work with a partner company Innotek Australia, which will export Vert’s products to the other side of the world.

Managing director, Jo Haigh, said: “The recession means that many companies are focusing on price over commissioning the use of green materials but that hasn’t stopped us from being able to offer the best of both worlds.

“As well as providing environmentally friendly solutions to POS that benefit the environment, our products are often lighter which means lower transport emissions compared to the less environmentally sound alternatives.”

The 15-strong company, whose clients include Callaway Golf, FCUK, Smart Solar and Kenwood, has established itself as leading provider of environmentally sound retail display systems and as the leading recyclable exhibition stand manufacturer in the UK.
