Recruitment Round-Up: Board appointment at fuse8, Entrepreneur launches new recruitment company and more

LEEDS-based digital marketing agency, fuse8, has appointed a new non-executive director.
Jeremy Middleton is the former chief executive of marketing services company, Media Square, and has worked in the marketing communications industry for more than 20 years.
Mr Middleton will work with fuse8’s management team to achieve its objective of becoming one of the UK’s leading digital full service agencies.
Managing director of fuse8, Nigel Hunter, said: “We are extremely pleased to have secured Jeremy as our non-executive director. He has an excellent understanding of our industry and has a proven track record in developing marketing services businesses through organic growth and acquisition.”

RECRUITMENT entrepreneur Jane Vincent has launched a new recruitment agency to deal with commercial and industrial sectors.
Candelisa People, based in Bradford, will offer a boutique service to its clients and cover the whole of Yorkshire.
Ms Vincent is the former founder and managing director of Horizon Recruitment.
Ms Vincent said: “People think I’m mad to open a new agency in the middle of a recession; I think it is the ideal time and if we can survive in this climate the only way will be forward.”

REGIONAL graduate recruitment service, Graduates Yorkshire, has appointed three new team members to lead its recently launched internship programme.
Daniel Patrick joins as business development manager for North and West Yorkshire, whilst Rebecca Oliver and Gwen Needham join as project co-ordinators.
The Graduates Yorkshire Internship Programme is an initative funded by regional development agency, Yorkshire Forward, supporting paid graduate internships with regional employers.
Becky Ascough, Graduates Yorkshire Internship Programme Project Manager, said: “Rebecca, Daniel and Gwen will bring new skills to the team and help us deliver the Internship Programme successfully. We have already had a lot of interest from both graduates and employers in the region in the programme, which offers three to twelve month paid internships.”

Sheffield Forgemasters International has appointed a new group environment manager.
Vicky Hinchcliffe joins the company having previously worked for Yorkshire Water for five years in the environment team, with the last two years of her tenure spent in pollution prevention.
Ms Hinchcliffe will be responsible for environmental issues and environmental improvements across the whole site.
