Lord Karan Bilimoria on why businesses should adapt or die

THE founder of one of the UK’s best-known lager brands will address an audience of business leaders at Leeds University following a challenging year for his organisation.
Lord Karan Bilimoria built Cobra Beer into a business said to be worth £175m before the company was forced into administration a few months ago, and then entered a joint venture with global brewing giant Molson Coors.
His lecture entitled ‘Adapt or Die’ on October 21 will chart how he transformed Cobra Beer from niche brand to market staple as well as looking at the challenges he has faced in recent months.
The evening lecture is part of Leeds University Business School’s Corporate Wisdom series, which is held in partnership with law firm DLA Piper.
Prof Peter Moizer, Dean of the Business School, said: “The purpose of Corporate Wisdom is to bring some of the UK’s leading figures in business and the public sector to Leeds to inspire, educate and inform Yorkshire’s key influencers.
“I am sure Lord Bilimoria will bring some fascinating insights to the fore.”
Places at the event are limited and cost £25 for the lecture or £75 for the lecture plus dinner. Anyone wishing to register their interest should contact Rebecca Lott on 0113 343 8652 or R.Lott@lubs.leeds.ac.uk
