Former Skipton Building Society chief takes on new role

JOHN Goodfellow, Skipton Building Society’s former chief executive, has been appointed as non-executive director of Debt Advisory Line (DAL).
Mr Goodfellow joins the award winning Keighley-based firm as it looks to expand its services.
The organisation, which holds the title of Debt Management Provider of the Year 2008, helps thousands of individuals every month to tackle their debt problems and rebuild their credit profile in the shortest possible time.
From its Yorkshire and Manchester offices, DAL’s advisors help individuals across the UK with Debt Management Plans, Individual Voluntary Agreements (IVAs), Trust Deeds, secured loans and bankruptcy.
Commenting on the move Mr Goodfellow said: “Debt Advisory Line is an award winning debt management provider and is at a very exciting stage in its early development.
“Its founding partners, Ben Farrar and Mark Mitchell, are dynamic in their commitment to future growth and I am thrilled to be able to offer expertise to help it develop further. For me, the company is right, the people are right and if ever there was a need for debt advice, it is now so the time is also right.”
Mr Mitchell, DAL’s fellow founding partner said: “John’s appointment is absolutely key for us and demonstrates our unrelenting commitment to being the best we can be in the sector, with unrivalled levels of skill and expertise.”
