Medical device company goes to MEDICA
A FORWARD thinking medical device specialist is heading to Europe to seek out commercial opportunities at the world’s largest healthcare fair.
Tomorrow Options, which has an office in Sheffield, is an innovative high-tech medical advice manufacturer and hopes the MEDICA fair in Germany will help expand the company internationally.
MEDICA will provide opportunities to meet potential business partners from across the globe, establish relationships with other international companies and potential partners.
Tomorrow Options will be showcasing its electronic medical device at the event – WalkinSense.
The portable and wireless device gathers and processes data of lower limb movements during walking, measuring both patient mobility patterns and pressure.
WalkinSense is used by health technicians dealing with diabetic foot disorders, a problem that can cause foot ulcers leading to lower limb amputations.
The lightweight and portable device allows patients to continue their everyday lives whilst being monitored.
The information gathered and processed by the equipment is then transferred via Bluetooth or USB cable to a computer to be analysed.
Paulo Ferreira dos Santos, chief executive officer of Tomorrow Options, said: “MEDICA offers us the perfect stage to platform our innovative and forward thinking products. With offices in both Portugal and the UK, we are proof that cross continental business works and we are eager to find more opportunities of partnerships to commercialise our innovative products and future developments.”
