Latest Appointments: New talent in at DLA, Investment director at Myddleton Croft, Fuse8 boost team and more

LAW firm, DLA Piper , has welcomed a team of new trainee solicitors to its Yorkshire offices.
12 new trainees join the Leeds offices while 7 join the firm’s Sheffield office.
The successful young lawyers competed against over 1000 applicants for one of the firm’s 85 UK traineeships.
They will now spend the next two years working towards a full qualification in various departments of the practice.
Steve Sly, managing partner at DLA Piper’s Sheffield office said: “I am delighted to welcome these trainees to DLA Piper, and believe they will have a fantastic experience with us, working not only with regional and national clients, but also international businesses, giving them a great grounding for their career.”

LEEDS-based investment management firm, Myddleton Croft, has appointed a new investment director.
Patrick Toes previously worked as deputy head of the discretionary team in Rensburg Sheppards in Leeds.
Mr Toes has more than 19 years experience in the investment business and will be jointly responsible for the discretionary management firm’s investment management proposition.
Myddleton Croft founder and director, David Cowell, said: “Patrick fully supports our ethos of individual client service and his breadth of experience will allow us to continue our high level of service whilst adding a new perspective to our management team.”

DIGITAL marketing agency, fuse8, has appointed seven new team members to its Leeds team.
The new recruits are; Brian Schur as head of marketing services online, Stephen Liversidge as technical project manager, Paul Mackenzie as user interface developer, Martin Pownall as information architect and James Macpherson as online designer.
The agency has also appointed Lisa Capper and Cara Dixon as account executives.
Nigel Hunter, fuse8’s managing director, said: “We have had a tremendous run of new business success which has seen us secure a significant amount of new online projects. YORKSHIRE Water has recently appointed a host of new graduates to its Bradford-based team.
The company, one of the regions largest employers, has appointed eight graduates as part of its graduate scheme.
The new recruits will spend two years on a personalisted development programme which will see them working in different departments within the business.
Graduate scheme co-ordinator, Nicola Rowledge said: “”While tough economic times have seen many companies downsize or scrap their graduate programme altogether this year, we’re continuing to develop and grow our graduate programme.”
