Renowned hotel sold

A HOTEL has been sold through specialist hotel agents Colliers Robert Barry acting on behalf of administrators Baker Tilly Restructuring and Recovery.

Haley’s Hotel in Headingley, Leeds, is now under the ownership of Gordon Jowett, who also owns Corn Mill Lodge Hotel in Pudsey, and he plans to roll out an investment programme to modernise the building.

The town house hotel has 26 individually designed en-suite letting bedrooms and public areas including meeting rooms and a restaurant.

Mr Jowett said: “Haley’s is well known to me and I firmly believe that with the right level of management and investment, it can earn back its reputation for high quality accommodation and cuisine.

“The hotel is located just outside Leeds city centre and benefits from the cricket and university graduation trade in the summer. It has huge potential and complements my other hotel in Pudsey extremely well.”

Colliers Robert Barry was seeking offers of more than £1.25m freehold.
