Old Glory looks smart with new range

A CLOTHING company based in Yorkshire is planning expansion into Europe after launching a new range.

Old Glory, which designs vintage styled men’s and women’s clothing has launched its newest range, focusing on what the brand calls a “sport meets heritage” inspired look.

The new range is available in River Island stores across the UK.

Established in 2001, Old Glory is aiming to aim the range, which includes polo shirts, jogging bottoms and hooded tops, at sports fans and features a Union Jack flag.

Old Glory, based in Harrogate, is also looking for a “new face” for the brand.

Stuart Shackleton, MD of Old Glory Stuart Shackleton, owner and managing director of Old Glory, said of the campaign to find a model for the range: “It was important to Old Glory that moving forward we have a model for the brand who is an actual representation of what the new range is all about.

“We wanted a real person to represent out very real brand. This led us to decide to kick-start a campaign in 2010 targeting real footballers from all over the country who will have the opportunity to nominate their best looking player, simply by submitting a picture to us along with their team name.”

Mr Shackleton added: “The company plans to expand the present offering in more styles and colours as popularity grows. The 2010 World Cup will be a natural focus for the brand moving forward and expansion into European countries is also on the cards.”
