Language deal makes sense to TUI Travel
TRAVEL company TUI Travel has acquired The English Language Centre (York) for £800,000 through its education division.
ELC York provides language courses to students from 44 countries.
The acquisition adds to TUI Education’s growing portfolio of language businesses. The UK portfolio already includes EAC, the Hampstead School of English and the Manchester Academy of English.
The transaction is a 100% share deal.
TUI Education is the largest in the global student travel market with 35 brands in school expeditions, sport, ski, activity, education, gap and experiential travel.
