Appointments: Comet director joins Buy it Direct; Burton moves to Wilson Field and more
FORMER Comet director Toby Lousada has joined Huddersfield-based online retailer Buy it Direct.
Mr Lousada was services director at electrical retailer Comet Group and had held other senior position in operations, commercial and customer service.
He said: “It is a great pleasure to be joining such a dynamic and innovative team. Buy It Direct has gone from strength to strength over recent years and has an exciting growth strategy.”
Buy it Direct managing director Nick Glynne said: “I am delighted that Toby is joining us as non executive chairman. He brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge gained over many years in the electrical sector. This will be invaluable to the board as we embark upon our next stage of growth.”

THE Leeds office of business turnaround and insolvency specialist Wilson Field has recruited a new insolvency practitioner.
Kelly Burton has joined the team at the city centre office and as part of her role will offer insolvency advice to clients from Leeds and the surrounding areas.
She previously worked at Armstrong Watson in Leeds as a senior insolvency manager and began her insolvency career after completing a degree at Leeds Metropolitan University.

LEVI Solicitors has announced the launch of a family law department with the return of Marie Johnson to its team.
Ms Johnson rejoins from Smiths Solicitors and specialises in divorce and the financial aspects of separation, co-habitation disputes, same-sex disputes, pre-nuptials and domestic violence.
She also has expertise in wills, probate, trusts and court of protection matters and will work alongside the wills, trusts and probate team.
