Major fire closes M621 westbound
6.10pm The westbound carriageway has reopened after the fire was extinguished. One lane remains closed between junctions 6 and 5.
5.40pm A major fire has closed the westbound carriageway between junctions 7 and 4 of the M621.
The fire, at an industrial estate at the side of the carriageway, also caused the grass verge to catch fire.
Traffic remains flowing on the eastbound carriageway.
Traffic is being diverted via local routes but is causing delays and additional congestion.
