Final office space at Leeds city centre’s Capitol building on the market

The last remaining, newly refurbished 10,500 sq ft of office space at Capitol office building in Leeds has been launched to market.

It is the final Grade A office accommodation at the newly transformed city building, a key chapter in Evans Property Group’s ongoing £25m programme of works to regenerate the Bond Court area of Leeds.

The remaining 10,500 sq ft space within Capitol spans two floors and can accommodate requirement sizes from 3,500 up to 10,500 sq ft and is being marketed by joint agents CBRE and JLL.

Evans is revitalising the Bond Court area, having already invested in the upgrading of Minerva and Capitol buildings to create more than 50,000 sq ft of Grade A accommodation. The new Dakota Deluxe hotel is the focus of the Bond Court redevelopment complemented by extensive public realm and sympathetic landscaping amounting to around £1m which has been undertaken with Leeds City Council.

Capitol has become home to one of Yorkshire’s largest law firms, hlw Keeble Hawson, which has leased the mezzanine floor, while planning practice Quod North relocated its Leeds office into the building and car information expert CAP Automotive expanded its headquarter operations within the building.

Minerva has enjoyed a host of lettings –  discretionary investment manager Standard Life Wealth, property firm BNP Paribas, global financial services company UBS and law firm Gateley have all joined the tenant line-up and existing occupier CDI AndersElite has also expanded into a larger suite to facilitate the firm’s expansion plans.

Richard Bean, senior asset manager at Evans Property Group, said: “Following on from the success of the initial investment into Capitol, we are delighted to launch newly refurbished Grade A office accommodation into the market at a time in which we anticipate good occupier demand. This reinforces our commitment to the transformation of the Bond Court area, which is one of the most coveted locations in Leeds and is connecting the city’s traditional commercial district with a superb retail, leisure and hotel offering.”
