Greenfield site in West Yorkshire sold to housebuilder

A greenfield development site in Silsden, West Yorkshire, has been sold to housebuilder Barratt David Wilson Homes.

CBRE sold the site on behalf of Countryside Properties UK. It has outline planning permission for up to 190 residential houses, and has been acquired unconditionally based on the planning.

The development site is located on Belton Road to the south of Silsden, bordering the Yorkshire Dales. It is well-connected with Skipton, Ilkley and Keighley.

Steven Verity, CBRE’s Northern Head of UK Development and Residential Capital Markets, said: “We are delighted to secure the sale of this substantial greenfield development opportunity to Barratt David Wilson Homes.

“The residential scheme will bring considerable investment to the area and includes 20 per cent affordable housing in a highly sought after picturesque commuter town.”
