Natalie Sykes

The Institute of Directors (IoD) is on the hunt for a new chairperson.

Regional chairman Jonathan Oxley, a director at law firm Lupton Fawcett Denison Till, is standing down from the role following the completion of his three-year term.

IoD regional director Natalie Sykes said: “This is an exceptional opportunity for someone to inspire and lead the IoD in the Yorkshire and Humber just as Jonathan has done for the last three years. He has been a true champion of the IoD in the region.

“Acting as the voice of the IoD is an important part of the role as we engage with local businesses and other stakeholders, such as the LEPs, public sector bodies and universities.”

Richard Myers

Sheffield-based pigmented dispersions and dispersed dyes manufacturer Diamond Dispersions has appointed Richard Myers as account manager for Europe, the Middle East, Africa and India.

Myers has spent the last ten years in a similar sales position with Unicolour in Huddersfield, one of Diamond Dispersions’ UK suppliers.

He said: “The current directors and their team have built very strong customer relationships right across the globe over the last few years so it’s my aim to build on those and create mutually beneficial relationships with a host of new customers.

“I’ll be travelling extensively to work and meet customers ‘in country’ and have so far visited both Germany and Austria since joining the company. I’ll also be helping the team to introduce Lubrizol’s range of products that complement Diamond’s products to further enhance our customer offering.”

Sue Wright, director of Diamond Dispersions, added: “Richard has broad experience of both managing and developing new business across a number of sectors and, in doing so, has a variety of key contacts – we’re delighted to welcome him to the team.”
