TheBusinessDesk.com is launching the first in a series of lunches for property professionals across the region this month.

The first lunch, in association with law firm Freeths and planning consultancy Pegasus Group, will be held on Tuesday June 27 at Bibis restaurant on Sovereign Street.

Craig Burrow, the Leeds director of developer Bruntwood, will talk about the plans for Platform and the challenges faced redeveloping above one of the busiest train stations in the UK as well as the wider future of the property sector in the city.

Bruntwood’s re-imagining of the building fits into the emerging trends of connectivity – digitally, with the latest technology, physically, with the increasing importance of transport hubs, and community, creating the most ambitious new collaborative workspace in the region.

Leeds city centre is almost unrecognisable from how it looked just five years ago, and the property sector has been the key to this transformation, and Bruntwood’s developments, including developments 3 Sovereign Square and West One.

TheBusinessDesk.com editor Alex Turner said: “Platform is a great example of the ambition and vision that the city of Leeds has, and Craig has been a key figure in Bruntwood’s journey to make this transformation happen.

“It promises to be a really interesting event and early bookings confirm there will be great networking opportunities.”

Tickets cost £40 and include a two course dinner and a welcome drink at Bibi’s Italian in Leeds. It follows a Women in Business lunch last month which attracted more than 150 people.
