People: Insurance broker expands; Dunlop Heywood adds to energy division; and more

McClarrons independent insurance brokers has welcomed two new claims handlers.
Long standing employee Stuart Torrance takes up the position of claims manager while Annette Izette and Patrick Musgrave join as claims handlers.
Izette joins the team with 12 years’ experience in insurance, and Musgrave joins from Minster Law Solicitors where he specialised in road traffic accident claims.
Torrance said: “We are very pleased to welcome Annette and Patrick to the team. As the company has grown, inevitably we are helping clients with more claims, and as an insurance brokerage that prides itself on its service, it is vital that we continue to offer our clients the claims support they need at what is usually a very stressful time.”

Mick Rowbottom
Leeds-based chartered surveyors Dunlop Heywood has appointed former VOA valuation lead Mick Rowbottom to head up its growing energy and renewables division.
Newly-appointed director Rowbottom has more than 27 years’ global experience in the energy and renewables sectors having worked on various mining projects in Africa and Europe at the start of his career, returning to the UK take up work in the opencast coal industry.
Rowbottom’s appointment comes on the back of a string of recent client wins for Dunlop Heywood including Eneco UK, Peel Energy, Ecotricity, Infinite Renewables and Eco2 among many others.
Dunlop Heywood director Stuart Hicks said: “Energy security remains a key challenge for the UK in what is a changing political and statutory environment. Having someone of Mick’s calibre join the team will provide invaluable expertise for our growing list of renewable clients.”

Huddersfield-based branding firm Aye! Agency has taken on a fourth team member to support continued business growth and a string of key project wins.
The graphic design role will see Danny Stead delivering branding and website design projects, as well as ongoing client marketing materials, ranging from brochures to advertisements.
Joining Aye! from Studio 116 in Batley, Stead comes from an agency background and has worked with a variety of clients ranging from antique dealers and footstool designers to coffee chain Starbucks.
Director and founder Oli Smith said: “We’ve recently won some great projects which have created a real buzz in our office. We’re itching to get started and Danny will support us with these from the outset.
“It will also give us capacity to achieve continued growth throughout the rest of the year. We’re not about sitting still. We’re always pushing forwards and looking for the next opportunity to help other businesses to grow. We now have extra man power to let us do that.”
