Celebrity chef announces Harrogate restaurant launch date

Celebrity chef Gino D’Acampo has announced the launch date for his Harrogate restaurant and prosecco bar.

The Parliament Street restaurant will launch on 29 June and serve lunch until late seven days a week.

Gino D’Acampo My Restaurant will span over two floors, with seating for 150 guests and an open kitchen, deli bar, private dining room, games room, photo booth and an all-weather roof terrace.

It’s not just the food Gino is keen to make a statement with. The restaurant will also feature the TV chef’s signature Prosecco Bar, showcasing an all-Italian list of more than 40 Proseccos, sparkling wines and regional wines, with more than eight available by the glass.

His first restaurant was launched in London after teaming up with business partner Steven Walker, founder of Individual Restaurants.

The Harrogate site is being followed by two further openings in Liverpool in July and Camden Town in August. Gino has already launched his Leeds restaurant with TV presenters Holly Willoughby and Philip Schofield in attendance.

Talking about his latest restaurant opening Gino says: “After the success of My Restaurant in Leeds I decided it was Harrogate’s turn for a slice of la bella vita. I visited the town for the very first time seven years ago and fell in love with its people, elegance and charm. Harrogate is very cool and I want to be a part of it.”

Gino’s Italian Escape now in its 4th series, with filming for a 5th series underway. The primetime show will be back in November 2017, accompanied by his 15th cookbook.
