People: Director promotions at business advisory firm; Miller Pattison appoints new CEO; and more

FRP Advisory, the business advisory firm, has promoted Mark Hodgett and Greg Carr, both based in its Leeds office, to directors.
Both are experienced restructuring advisors and qualified accountants with broad connections across the Yorkshire region. They have been with FRP Advisory’s Leeds office since its creation four years ago.
The promotions bring to 12 the number of partners and directors and a total of 35 staff in FRP Advisory’s northern region spread across its Leeds, Manchester and Preston offices.
Hodgett advises both companies and lenders on a range of corporate restructuring assignments and has 19 years of business recovery, insolvency and financial advisory experience with a recent focus on the industrial, retail, real estate and care home sectors.
Carr has 17 years’ experience in corporate restructuring and financial advisory work. His sector experience includes manufacturing, leisure, motor, retail, professional services and agriculture. His current focus at FRP Advisory is undertaking business reviews and advising both lenders and management teams looking to carry out turnaround and performance improvement strategies.

Alex McLeod
Yorkshire-headquartered insulation specialist Miller Pattison has appointed Alex McLeod as its new CEO with Mike Dyson retiring after two years as MD.
Alex McLeod has more than 10 years experience in the insulation industry and he joins the firm from his previous role as a CEO of a manufacturing company supplying roofing and flooring products to the new build housing market.

Dyson will remain on the company’s board as a non-executive director. Having led the firm for more than two decades and retired in 2009, he returned to Miller Pattison in 2015 to lead a turnaround programme. The company completed an MBO in late 2015.

Tony Hallwood
Cheshire-based Marketing Profile has hired Tony Hallwood, who previously headed up business development and public relations at Leeds Bradford Airport, as group director.
This year marks the 10th Anniversary for Marketing Profile, a full-service marketing, PR and events company, which also operates the exclusive members club theProfileClub.
Both businesses were founded by Hallwood’s wife Barbara.
She said: “’As both sides of the business continue to expand attracting clients locally, regionally and nationally it is a perfect opportunity to bring Tony onboard. Undoubtedly his business acumen and contacts across Yorkshire will help further grow the business especially across the Leeds City Region.”
