Engineers acquire 65,000 sq ft development sites
Civil engineering and plant hire business Peter Duffy has snapped up a former food retail distribution site which it will develop into bespoke facilities.
The site was formerly owned by Kepak, a meat processor that produces Rustlers burgers. Peter Duffy has acquired the site just off Junction 40 of the M1 in Wakefield, which it will develop into a facility for its own occupation.
It will take over the rear of the site, which has been branded Centric 40, with two surplus plots at the front of the site that are available for development.
The plots extend to around 1.58 and 2.19 acres respectively, the larger can accommodate around 38,000 sq ft and the smaller around 27,000 sq ft.
Subject to planning, the developer is aiming to undertake infrastructure and site preparation works later this year, and commence construction of units early in 2018.
GVA, the leading UK real estate adviser, has been appointed by Peter Duffy to market two prime units, comprising 65,000 sq ft, in Wakefield.
